Rating: 3 silver spoons out of 5

Overview: By day, the best breakfast/lunch joint in the area.

Breakfast: Nudy’s creative spin on comfort food is a step above standard diner fare in the area. It’s difficult to choose incorrectly with a wide variety of specialty pancakes, french toasts and omelets. Favorites include the pumpkin spice pancakes and the banana walnut french toast.

Lunch: From cold cut sandwiches to specials hot off the grill, Nudy’s offers a wide variety of standard and specialty sandwiches. A few highlights include the roast pork sandwich with roasted peppers and a chicken salad wrap with apples and almonds.

Ambiance: Small, cozy and bustling, Nudy’s has the charm of a great neighborhood hangout. During the summer, there is a good sized patio for outside dining, most of which is covered and heated during the winter.

Service: At busy times, staff can be a bit overwhelmed, but are always helpful.

Value: Diner prices with better than diner food. Great value.

Not sure what all the fuss is about this place. Portions are so so. There is absolutely NO waiting area on weekends and no implementation to deal with it….maybe buzzards to we can wait in our cars? I could have saved my 6 bucks and made a better oml at home. If you want REAL “moneys worth” breakfast I would suggest a drive to royersford for anna maries. Puts this place to shame.

Been there a couple of times now and I will definitely go back. Yeah, the first time was a crazy saturday at 11am and we were a four top so the service was a little shoddy. However we didn’t have to wait long for the incredible food. last time we went we were seated outside immediately and the food rocked…again. My friends use Eggs Benedict as a Big Mac Index and I normally do that with the pancakes…it all rocked. Omelettes, breakfast burritos, coffee, etc…the only part of the menu we haven’t tried is lunch. But going on the trend of b-fast food quality i doubt you can go wrong. Just expect diner-like waitstaff…they’re making their dollars on volume. Go get some!

Very Disappointing! I was not impressed!
The food was ok, but the service was not and the place needs cleaned!

I used to go to the Frazer/Malvern location atleast twice a week for a couple years and will never return after I witnessed the owner, Ray treat one of his absolute best waitresses disrespectfully. I was so upset over it I called him several days later to tell him how I felt. Hey Ray, Get rid of the waitress that never speaks or smiles or how about the sarcastic hostess.

Me and my friends went there a few days ago around 1Oam. Half our mean came out. 5 mins later the other half Not to mention the fact my eggs were barely cooked. It was like pulling teeth trying to get a re-fill. the floor was dirty, table sticky. when we werent ready to order the waitress huff and puffed away. when we tried to get our check the other said our waitress was smoking in the back. never again.

Nudy’s is great for breakfast and lunch. But they need to pay more attention to details: food splatters on the menus and the wall near the table (!) need to be wiped clean, paint trim or walls that are badly scuffed, use a sweeper on rugs to pickup the crumbs between breakfast and lunch shift. When it starts to get too dirty where I can see, I start to get freaked out about what I’m not seeing. They have a good thing going, just keep it clean!

Nudy’s is a great breakfast spot. The omellotes and homefries are a must. Expect a wait on Sunday for breakfast. But also expect great service and a fine atmosphere. They also offer outside seating for an even more wonderful experience. GO NUDY”S!!

Nudy’s rocks! When we aren’t in the mood for Classic’s noise, crowding, wait, and prices, we head right for Nudy’s fora n incredible weekend breakfast. Hands down, their pancakes are THE BEST in the world. Also top notch items are their raisin bread french toast and cinnimon bun french toast. The breakfast burrito is one of the best I’ve ever had as well.
    A+ for Nudy’s!

The best pancakes I’ve ever eaten. Actually, the best breakfast food period I’ve ever eaten out. ALWAYS perfect. And I’ve been to all four: Wayne, Frazer, Phoenixville, and Exton. All outstanding!

My husband and I are regulars at Nudy’s in Wayne…as in, we’re there either Saturday or Sunday morning and have been for the past three months. We both love the food there! And we’ve never had poor service whether we sat inside or outside. It’s so nice to have a little family-run restaurant in the neighborhood, even if parking in the back is an accident just waiting to happen! (If you’ve parked in the back of Nudy’s you know what I’m talking about!) I highly recommend trying it out!

Went in for lunch last week at about 11:30 and the counter was crowded so I sat at a small table in the middle of the room. Sat there for about 15 minutes and no one approached me for a beverage order or to offer a menu. Needless to say, I got up and left.
Ray needs to attend to this – maybe he is becoming chain like..

We had a good breakfast at nudy’s on sunday 2/3. Huge portions, creative menu with many many choices for omlets, french toast, pancakes and lunch items as well. Actually, the menu was too large, which really is a good thing. Service was sub par, but I wasn’t really expecting anything special. Prices are reasonable for portion size. Will return.

  13. Ed Kessler says:

Bill- are you sure you were in the right place. Last time I looked, almost everything on the menu was between $5.00 and $8.50.

  14. Bill Price says:

Saw the good review in Phila inquirer so we tried Nudy’s for lunch Sunday. Couldn’t match up what I ordered with what the waitress brought to the cramped table. Waitress was terrible, food was inedible and expensive.
    Never again

  15. Walt Schumann says:

Breakfast is my favorite meal. This is by far my favorite place for breakfast. The eggs all always cooked just the way you request them. The service is efficient and friendly even when the place is packed. I don’t know how this place has reached such excellence. Try it you’ll love it. The Nudy’s in Frazer is also on a par and parking is more available.

  16. Gayle says:

Nudy’s is the best…Well worth any wait for breakfast on Sunday…The kids there are great….!! I love it

  17. Robin says:

Oy oy oy. LOVED Nudy’s last year. Everything we ordered each time was delicious.

Something has gone terribly wrong. What last year came to my plate was a fluffy, savory, inspired omelette is now a scorched, tough, chopped to death slab of eggs. Even the fried eggs are tasteless, when before they had flavor (likely from being fresher!).

I really don’t know what happened, but if I had to guess, I’d say they sold the place, replaced the chef and wait staff, and now Nudy’s is as succulent as Denny’s.

Given the above reviews, perhaps it’s a breakfast thing. Last year I had the world’s best patty melt. Honestly!

    But stay away for breakfast!

  18. Janet says:

Awesome menu for Lunch! Loved the patio! And the waitstaff was GREAT! Even divided our check amongst 10 people to help tally the bill. Highly recommended!!

  19. Jen says:

A nice place to go for a healthy meal, but try to avoid the after-church crowds on Sundays. Something for everyone on the menu!
