I agree with Duster, the BRGR joint is awesome. You can say what you will about cooking burgers to temp, but fresh meat cooked right is always better than frozen pattys cooked medium rare. Their burgers are two pattys, and you can put a fried egg on it, which surprisingly, is amazing. Besides they have sweet fries, chili cheese fries, all stuff you can’t get at the other places.

I have been all around the country via the US Navy and I have experienced a lot of great tasting burgers from What-A- Burger down in Pensacola to the usual Krystal Burgers and White Castles across America. Heck, I even love the Good Dog Burger down in the city but for local flavor- The BRGR Joint in Bryn Mawr, PA has my vote… They serve on heck of a burger and the sweet potato fries…. whatyakiddnme? They are amazing…

I just a great burger at Ryan Christophers in Narberth. The meat was just as I asked – medium and the way the bun, cheese and burger came together was absolutely both texturally agreeable and delicious. I’m definitely going back.

Um, HELLO!?!? Roache & O’Briens on Lancaster in Haverford! Totally unfussy and a REAL burger! They make it to order right there. It’s delicious and a perfect dinner any night of the week. Not to mention it’s giant.

Kellys in Bryn Mawr is the best around. Selection of specialty burgers is awesome. Try the one with 2 patties bacon and crumbled bleu cheese. Heart attack waiting to happen.

I agree wih the other Grog fans – always juicy, seasoned well, served on a yummy Le Bus roll. Mmmmmm!

Larry’s suggestion of The Grog is right up there. The Great American Pub is Narberth makes a BBQ/Bacon Cheeseburger that is darn good.

Not sure if you consider Exton too far from the main line or not but give America Bar & Grill on Pottstown Pike a shot they’re my local favorites. Plus they have 20 or so beers on tap to wash it down with.

My vote is for the special Kobe burger at Gullifty’s, Rosemont. It’s not just any old Kobe, it’s craftfully put together with ginger, guyere, and their own home-made wasabi…UNMATCHED and UNFORGETTABLE!!

I’ve only been to one Five Guys (Broomall) but I’ve never gotten a well done burger there. They’ve all been medium. For $4 or so, it’s a good basic burger that — at least I think — is not meant to compete with “fancy” gastropub burgers.
