I thought they had wonderful things coming out of the kitchen; but their front end didn’t seem up to the task.
They were just out of place. Too sophisticated for their location. That neighborhood seems to prefer big, cheap plates of ersatz Italian food…like Guiseppi’s or a Fellini Cafe…
Don’t remember who the executive chef was, but hope he surfaces elsewhere. I’d follow.
it is definately closed. I thought food was always good, wine expensive, service spotty, and a bit strange. on the whole i enjoyed eating there, and the interior was very cool and New Yorkish. Now that i think of it they had the best Calamari and Mac and cheese.
It won’t be missed. Food was boring and service was poor.
