Without defending these prices, I do feel the need to point out that the 6-pack in question contains 6 different beers, not 6 of the same, which you're always going to pay more for. (I highly doubt that you can get a mixed-6 of quality craft beers for $7 anywhere in the country.) A true craft 6-pack at one of the places listed in this article is probably around $12 (still ridiculous, but better).

That said, Wegmans in Malvern offers a mixed 6 for $10.99, which is quite reasonable considering the single bottle selection. Most craft 6-packs are either $9 or $10... probably still more than in other states, but quite reasonable compared to what we're used to here in PA.

$$ 16.00/17.00 for a 6 pack. That is cra the zy. I just moved from Milwaukee where we pay $$ 7-9 for a 6 pack. $$ 9-14 for more "expensive" imports. I will definately be checking out Wegman's to see what they offer. Anyone know what the laws are in Delaware? Better prices? Do they seperate beer and wine stores?

Best Mainline find that i know is the Neopolitan in Berwyn on Rt 30 near Berwyn Pizza. They have a fairly good selection of singles that you can bundle into a custom six pack for about $11.

Capones's in Norristown is universally known as one of the better bottle shops in America. Well worth the 20 minute drive.

What about Landis' Restaurant in Wayne (118 W. Lancaster, Wayne)? I don't know if they have a discounted six pack, but they have a large selection of beer by the bottle (12 oz. -750 ml). They are a bit pricey, but they definitely have some great things to try.
